CES 2024, new product releases from NVIDIA, Samsung, and MSI

The Consumer Electronics Show is the place where the technology industry welcomes the new year. Every January, every corner of the industry releases announcements and previews of exhibitions, preparing thoroughly for the upcoming year.

NVIDIA unveiled its latest RTX 4080 Super at Monday's press conference, featuring the efficient NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture and 16GB of high-speed G6X memory. With accelerated ray tracing and AI-driven graphics technology, this product brings your games and creative projects to life. It is set to be released on January 31st.

Samsung has unveiled the rolling robot projector, Ballie, equipped with a spatial laser radar sensor that helps navigate paths, similar to the working principle of a robotic vacuum cleaner. In addition, it features a 1080p projector that can be used for content projection, video calls, and even projecting computer screens. Ballie can also control other smart devices and comes with a built-in infrared controller for non-smart devices like televisions. Moreover, Ballie can detect people's postures and facial angles to adjust the optimal projection angle. Samsung states that Ballie can be used to "project images and stream content on walls, automatically adjusting images based on wall distance and lighting conditions."

MSI has introduced the MSI Claw Processor as a competitor to the Steam Deck. It is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, Windows 11 operating system, onboard LPDDR5, 16GB of memory, a dual-channel display with a 7-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) screen and 120Hz refresh rate. It features PCIe Gen 4 x4 sensors, six-axis IMU vibration motor communication, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 BE1750, Bluetooth v5.4, two 2W speakers, Thunderbolt 4, and more.

MSI states that the device has a battery life of two hours under full load, allowing users to enjoy smooth gaming experiences at 1080p resolution and medium settings. Similar to the ROG Ally, the MSI Claw utilizes the Windows 11 operating system, providing access to games from various platforms such as Steam, Xbox PC applications, Epic Games Store, and more. Interestingly, MSI mentions that its APP Player will also enable the running of Android games on the handheld device, expanding its gaming options. Priced at $699, it is set to be released in the first half of 2024.

The exhibition officially opened on January 9th (Tuesday) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, and will continue until January 12th (Friday).
